How to Prepare for Your Dumpster Delivery
To ensure a smooth, on-time drop-off and help you avoid a $75.00 Dry Run Fee, please review this quick checklist before our truck arrives.
1. Measure and Clear the Placement Area
- Check the Dimensions: Make sure your driveway or drop-off spot can fit your rented size. Our 15 and 20-yard dumpsters are 14 feet long and 6 feet wide, while our 30-yard dumpster is 20 feet long and 8 feet wide.
- Clear all Obstacles: Move personal vehicles, trailers, trash cans, and children’s toys out of the driveway. The path must be completely clear.
2. Look Up for Overhead Hazards
- Tree Branches: Ensure there are no low-hanging tree limbs over your driveway or the path leading to it.
- Wires & Lines: Check for low-hanging power lines, telephone wires, or internet cables. Our roll-off trucks need significant vertical clearance to safely hoist and drop the container.
3. Clear the Entry Path
- Gate Access: If your property has a security gate or a locked fence entry, please make sure it is unlocked or provide our team with the gate code ahead of time.
- Neighborhood Parking: If neighbors frequently park on the street opposite your driveway, kindly ask them to leave a clear path on delivery day so our large truck has enough turning radius to back in.
4. Decide on Surface Protection
- Protect Your Property: While our team takes great care, delivery trucks and steel containers are very heavy.
- Opt for Rolliskates: If you are worried about surface scrapes or scratches on your asphalt or concrete, remember to check the box for our specialized Rolliskates Driveway Protectors ($30.00) on your booking form!
5. Plan for No-Attendance Drop-off
- No Need to Wait Around: You do not need to stay home or miss work for your delivery! Just leave specific placement instructions (e.g., “Place on the left side of the driveway close to the garage”) when you submit your booking form.
